What do you know about GINGER?
Have you ever entered a room and smelled a fantastic AROMA, and wonder to yourself, what is that smell? Well I have, only to find out that what I was falling in love with, was the smell of GINGER. Ginger, the name may be familiar to some. Some may know how it taste, and how it smells BUT what do you really know about GINGER? Some may know that it is used in foods to give it a very vibrant taste, which can add a KICK. Some have experienced GINGER BEER that will knock your socks off. Some know about GINGER ALE, which may use less to none of the REAL STUFF. Some Chinese dishes use ginger and so we may be familiar with that. We may have eaten chicken fried rice, egg rolls and even Sushi that uses Ginger. BUT have we looked deeply, and intently into the GREAT and WONDERFUL benefits of GINGER?
WHERE CAN YOU BUY GINGER AND WHAT FORM DOES IT COME IN? Ginger is available anywhere. Usually you can find it in supermarkets, grocery stores, organic stores, side shops, mom and pop stores and even on the internet. You know you can BUY almost ANYTHING over the INTERNET! You can buy FRESH GINGER ROOT, POWDERED GINGER, CANDIED GINGER, LIQUID GINGER, GINGER TEA, GINGER CANDY CHEWS, GINGER CAPSULES, GINGER COFFEE, GINGER PASTE, and the list goes on and n and on.
WHAT ARE THE HEALTH BENEFITS? (1) Colon Cancer Prevention. One study provided information that says that ginger may slow down colorectal cancer cells. (2) Have you lost your appetite? Are you not feeling hungry? Eat some fresh ginger and it will spruce up those digestive juices. (3) Maintains Normal Blood Circulation. Did you know that ginger contains chromium, magnesium and zinc? This aids in the blood flow, and helps with the prevention of chills, fever, and even excessive sweat. (4) Helps with Cold and Flu Prevention. Ginger has been used for many of years as a treatment, that is natural for colds and flu. It is suggested that one steeps 2 tablespoons of freshly shredded or chopped ginger root in hot water, two to three times a day. (5) Combats Stomach Discomfort. Ginger is wonderful in assisting stomach digestion, it improves food absorption. It helps in avoiding possible stomach aches, because it reduces inflammation in the stomach in a similar way that aspirin and ibuprofen does.
